The Finnish Sawmills Association promotes the business operations of its member companies by representing their interests. The Association’s objective is for the independent sawmilling industry to be known in Finland as one of the most vital sectors of the national economy and as a profitable, responsible and sustainable industry that is based on entrepreneurship, and for Finnish sawmills to be known worldwide as reliable and forward-looking partners. The Association monitors, anticipates and provides information about changes taking place in the business environment.

Over the decades, the Finnish sawmilling industry has established its position as one of the most important players in the export industry and as a critical part of the Finnish forest cluster’s value chain. The Finnish sawmilling industry is known around the world as a reliable producer and marketer of high-quality sawn timber.

The Finnish Sawmills Association promotes the business operations of its member companies by representing their interests. The association’s membership base consists of approximately 30 companies that operate throughout the country. Nearly all of our members are family companies with a face.
